Quang Phu Cau is famous for its incense sticks and business typically booms around Tet, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year.

Generations of its residents have relied on the industry for income.But now the incense has also brought in unexpected tourism.

Filipino tourist: I have never seen everything like this one.So in terms of experience, I think this is new for us.

And then the place is very nice,very colourful and it's really an Instagram worthy place.

The village gained fame online after tourist started posting pictures on social media. 

For US$2, tourist can pose with the incense sticks.

The incense sticks are arranged in various shapes in a courtyard, such as the Vietnamese flag.

The village has even installed a platform for tourist to get the best camera angle.

Belgian tourist: Yes, so it's a perfect combination of traditional crafts that you can see here. and it's nice to take photos with all the colours. So it's wonderful.

Incense is usually used in Vietnam for traditional celebrations and religious rites. During Tet,Quang Phu Cau's workshops work to full capacity to satisfy their client's orders and experience.

We assign one or two people to help visitors find the best angle for photos and to make sure they don't mess up the drying of the sticks. 

Incense sticks are normally a hue of red,but many of the workshops have added an array of colours.

The country is one of the world's top producers of incense sticks.
