The sun is the main source of light on Earth, giving us energy and heat. Plants use sunlight to make their own food through photosynthesis. Besides the sun, there are other things like bulbs, lamps, and candles that produce light. But there are also things like tables, clothes, and utensils that don't give off light. We can group these non-luminous objects into transparent ones, which let light through, and opaque ones, which stop light from passing through.​ 

태양은 우리에게 에너지와 열을 주는, 지구의 주요한 빛의 원천입니다. 식물은 광합성을 통해 그들만의 음식을 만들기 위해 태양을 사용합니다. 태양 이외에도, 빛을 생산하는 전구, 램프, 그리고 양초와 같은 다른 것들이 있습니다. 그러나 빛을 발산하지 않는 테이블, 옷, 그리고 도구들도 있습니다. 우리는 이 비발광적인 것들을 빛이 통과하는 투명한 것과 빛이 통과하는 것을 막는 불투명한 것으로 분류할 수 있습니다.

Our topic for today is Introduction to Light.

Light is a form of energy that enables us to see all the things around us.

The main source of light on the earth is the sun.

Plants are able to prepare their own food using sunlight.

Some other objects also give out light.

They are known as luminous objects.

For example, bulbs, lamps, candles, etc. are luminous objects.

While there are some objects that do not give out light.

They are known as non luminous objects.

For example table, cloth, bag, utensils, etc. are non luminous objects.

Non luminous objects are generally of two types, transparent objects and opaque objects.

Transparent objects are those that allow light to pass through them, like glass, water etc.

While, opaque objects are those that do not allow light to pass through them, like wood, stone etc.​

반면 불투명한 물체는 나무, 돌 등과 같이 빛을 통과시키지 않는 물체입니다.
